How to call/run a .m file by selecting a menu bar item from main .m file

I'm new in MatLab and I'm designing a tool kit of different functions (each in a .m file) and I designed a main .m file ( and .fig file) with different menu bar items. I'd like to execute any function that I created by selecting it from the menu bar. Please help

use its callback
