when I start my GUI a ghost image superimposed on the actual image

When I start my gui a ghost image (looks like saved from an earlier display) appears (red one). The current image (cyan) is superimposed on the ghost.

Any idea how to get rid of this ghost image.

It looks like you have corrupted your .fig file by saving an instance that you ran over the top of the GUI.

I'm not sure how you can fix that, but for future reference never save a figure that you have launched over the top of the .fig file that defined the GUI. The running figure has more information in it than the one that defines the GUI and you should never mix the two up.

Adam, thank you. That may be the case but I dont know how I did it as I do not a a figure save button on my gui.

I found the problem. I was inadvertently trying to display multiple images at the same time.
