The new 2021b creates a new comparison window for each file pair, when the older version (e.g., 2021a) docked multiple comparisons into a single window, and then you could browse through them (much like you do with the Editor). Is there a way to dock all the comparisons into a single window, same as it used to be? Thanks!
edit: The help documentation says "When you perform a text comparison, a new window opens and displays the two files side by side." But the old version opened a new tab in a single Comparison window, and you then had the option to dock/undock each comparison. So, is there any way to get that old functionality back? Thanks!

Further comment... Many programmers (myself among them) "live" inside the comparison tool and source control generally. Removing and damaging functionality (as happened in 2021b) deals a real blow to our productivity.

Just a note, there is a useOldTextDiff.p file that restores the previous functionality -- you'd have to contact support to see whether it's still available. You might try Brian Cianciola. Dave.

Hi,
Currently there is no current way to get this functionality in MATLAB R2021b. I have brought this issue to the notice of the concerned people and it might be considered for a future release.

Hi Anshika,
Thanks for your quick response! I also communicated with Brian Cianciola in the MathWorks Technical Support Department, so you might touch base with him as well.
Best regards,
Dave.
