Matlab in UNIX environment: segmentation fault when saving pcolor figure with large mesh

Hello,
I've spent a lot of time reading other similar posts, but no solution has yet to solve my problem. I'm running Matlab in a UNIX environment. All I want to do is make a plot and save it. I can make the plot (with -nodisplay) without a problem, but when I save the plot, matlab quits and I get a segmentation fault error in the UNIX command line.
I should note that the plot is a spatial map (pcolor plot) with 2-D dimensions of 1386 x 585.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Dan

The Mathworks can. http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#After_installation.2C_MATLAB_crashes_or_gives_an_error_message_when_I_try_to_run_MATLAB.
Generally we refer all serious fatal crashes like this to them because they are much better equipped to solve your problem for you.
